Cubs spent 3 weeks working on their Chef Badge
They learnt about the basic rules of safety and hygiene in the kitchen, the different ways of preparing and cooking food and what the major food groups are, as well as how they fit into a healthy diet. They also learnt how to peel and chop vegetables safely.
Finally, the Cubs prepared and cooked a 2 course meal of Caldo Verde Soup and Piri Piri Chicken, which are both traditional Portuguese dishes. Yum!
