Welcome back to Scouting and Happy 2016!
It is nice to see everyone return after the Christmas break - there have been plenty of smiles and tales of Christmas treats and adventures from the young people.
We started the new Scouting year by celebrating our Group's 45th birthday. Holywood Bowl played host to our Tuesday and Wednesday night parties where the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all enjoyed a game of bowling along with a meal and a slice of the delicious birthday cake.
Happy 45th Birthday 5th Tyldesley! Here's to many more happy years of Scouting in the future.

2016 is an amazing year for Scouting and 5th Tyldesley - we have so many fantastic trips, visits and camps planned for the children. There will be plenty of website updates showing our adventures so keep checking back here to see what's new.
Cubs go
scavenging
On Sunday 8th May our Cub Scouts took part in the Shelter Box Scavenger Hunt in Liverpool. Two teams of 5th Tyldesley Cubs along with Leaders, Young Leaders and Occasional Helpers took to the streets of Liverpool in a race against the clock to complete various tasks to gain objects for their team's Shelter Box whilst visiting the city's famous landmarks and learning about disasters and disaster relief work. Beavers 30th Birthday Celebrations
This year the Scouting Movement is celebrating 30 years of Beaver Scouts. As part of the celebrations our Beavers took part in the Carnival Camp at Middlewood Scout Camp with hundreds of other Beaver Scouts from across Greater Manchestr West County.
